Jill specializes in supporting clients with ADHD, executive function challenges, dyslexia, organizational, and other learning difficulties. These services are offered online or in person.
Executive Function Coaching: Jill provides treatment for executive dysfunction in adults and adolescents through a coaching model. In close partnership, a coach helps clients learn practical skills and initiate change in their lives. This sets a pathway for an individual to: maintain focus and achieve goals, transform abstract goals into concrete actions, and to build internal motivation.
Educational Therapy: As an Educational Therapist, Jill specializes in supporting learners in reading development and literacy, attention and executive functioning challenges, academic organization, and learning differences/disabilities. Her approach combines the key elements of educational therapy and other evidence-based practices. This includes an explicit, systematic, multisensorial approach to reading and literacy which is Orton Gillingham-based. In her capacity as an educational therapist, Jill enjoys serving as a consultant, parenting coach, and advocate to support students and their families.
Online Practice: Providing Coaching and Educational Therapy services online has become a crucial component to practice. Coaching sessions can be virtual via zoom or a comparable platform. Jill uses collaborative and interactive tools to make the experience multi-sensory and immersive. She includes audio, visual and touch screen interaction in each and every lesson. Students are not limited by distance to access the quality experience that they need.
Educational Therapy:
Getting started begins with an assessment.
If you or your child are requiring educational therapy, then this process begins with filling out forms and discussing one’s needs. Over the next few sessions, Jill will continue to informally assess the student to get a fuller picture of their strengths and skill deficits. This allows her to create learning goals which are shared with parents. Parents receive regular updates on how their student is working towards these learning goals.
